Where asked for the username, users must enter their complete email address

Where asked for their password, users must enter the password they selected when creating the email account on our servers

Incoming Mail Server

Where asked for the incoming mail server, users must enter; pop.their domain name if connecting via POP, imap.their domain name if connecting via IMAP or mail.their domain name if connecting to Cpanel, Plesk or Helm email account.

If connecting via SSL, users should enter the name of the server they want to connecting to, to avoid the SSL warning message that email clients display when making an SSL connection to a shared email server while using a users domain name

POP : mail.domain.com

IMAP : mail.domain.com

Cpanel/Plesk/Helm Servers : mail.domain.com

Incoming Server Port

Our email server use all the default incoming server port numbers. Most email software will automatically modify the port number users connect through when SSL, IMAP, POP or non SSL is selected

POP

Non SSL : 110

SSL : 995

IMAP

Non SSP : 143

SSL : 993

 

Outgoing Mail Server

Where asked for the outgoing mail server, users must enter; smtp.their domain name or mail.their domain name if connecting to a cPanel, Plesk or Helm email account.

If connecting via SSL, users should enter the name of the server they are connecting to , to avoid the SSL warning message that email clients display when making an SSL connection to a shared email server while using a users domain name.

SMTP : mail.domain.com

Cpanel/Plesk/Helm Servers : mail.domain.com

Outgoing Server Port

Most Internet Provider Service (ISP) block port 25 for their own outgoing emails so users will want to use the standard alternative SMTP port of 587 when connecting to our outgoing mail servers.

If making an SSL connection, users may user the standard SSL SMTP port of 465 to connect to our servers.

Non SSL : 587

SSL : 465

Authentication Type

Both our incoming and outgoing mail servers require that users authenticate themselves before being allowed to connect. Users should use the standard password format of authentification.
